Our Background
Most of us began our legal careers at the large international law firms. Once we had the experience of working in-house, we quickly discovered that while law firms are excellent at documenting deals, they may not have the bandwidth to manage the complexities of what is happening on the ground both in the lead up to and after the deal.
Identifying and listing out risks is just the start. We moved away from the law-firm route of taking the further step of working alongside the business team to weigh the risks and guide decision-making. What degree of risk is acceptable? Can we cover the risks beyond the four corners of legal documentation by deploying operational procedures and processes? These are examples of questions we hope to find out more about and come up with answers together with you.
We aim to provide a pragmatic approach that is buttressed by our breadth of in-house experience in a variety of industries, countries, and product types. The in-house perspective is also particularly useful when supporting you in developing your relationships with the right people - whether they be third party service providers (such as law firms, accountants and tax specialists) who you want cost-effective arrangements with or talent that you are eyeing up to bring on your team.
